Responsibilities:
- As Higher Level Teaching Assistant: cover Planning, Preparation and Assessment time in Early Years and Key Stage One; support children under the direction of other teachers and leaders in school.
- As General Teaching Assistant: support children in Early Years and Key Stage One under the direction of the class teacher; work with children who may require additional support.
- As Midday Supervisory Assistant: support the team in the lunch hall and playground to ensure a caring and safe environment; work indoors and outdoors supervising children and ensuring their safety at all times.
Our school is a Reception Lead Network school. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside a dedicated and experienced team committed to giving every child the very best start in life. The post will be offered on a fixed term basis initially until 26 July 2027. There may be an opportunity for extension into the following academic year. Thornton Dale Primary School is committed to safeguarding the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
