Help create a clean, safe and comfortable home environment for our residents while making a real difference to their daily lives.

We are looking to recruit Part Time Domestic Assistants to undertake domestic duties within a residential establishment at 5 Whitby Road in Pickering.

Ensuring a clean, safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment for service users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean designated areas to maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
  • Carry out deep cleans, spring cleans, and cleaning of vacated rooms/bedsits when required.
  • Undertake laundry duties, including operating laundry equipment.
  • Use domestic cleaning equipment safely, including vacuum cleaners and washing machines.
  • Support with basic food preparation and food storage.
  • Occasionally oversee and support residents undertaking domestic tasks as part of their rehabilitation.
  • Maintain safe and effective use of cleaning materials and equipment.
  • Communication
  • Communicate with service users in a respectful manner that promotes dignity, independence, and wellbeing.
  • Health & Safety / Safeguarding
  • Comply with all Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Take reasonable care of their own health and safety and that of colleagues, residents, and visitors.
  • Follow safeguarding requirements and maintain a safe environment for vulnerable adults.
