We’re looking for an enthusiastic and qualified Fitness Coach to join our dynamic team at North Yorkshire Council's Community, Arts & Leisure service. You’ll have the opportunity to teach and lead a variety of exciting exercise classes across different categories, making a real impact on our customers' fitness journeys!
Class Types you’ll Lead:
- Pilates (reformer, barre Pilates, beginner Pilates)
Key Responsibilities:
- Build strong relationships with participants, helping them reach their fitness goals and providing support throughout their journey.
- Prioritize safety during every class, ensuring all sessions meet high standards and comply with health and safety protocols.
- Stay current with industry trends and attend relevant training and development to enhance your coaching skills.
- Work closely with the Leisure Centre Management Team to enhance services and contribute to promotional events.
- Foster a positive, welcoming atmosphere in each class that encourages clients to push themselves and achieve their goals.
What We’re Looking For:
- Essential: Coaching qualifications or a sports coaching qualification recognised by CIMSPA (Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity).
- Experience teaching in Pilates.
- Strong knowledge of the fitness industry and a passion for helping people improve their health.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends.
- Friendly, approachable, and customer-focused attitude.
- Desirable: Knowledge of Health and Safety practices in a leisure environment.
- Experience working with a wide range of age groups and fitness levels.
