We’re looking for a proactive and experienced Senior Building Surveyor to join our team and make a real impact across a diverse project portfolio. From small scale surveys to multi-million-pound developments, including schools, fire stations, care homes, and heritage buildings, our projects are as varied as our clients. With a strong and growing pipeline across both public and private sectors, there’s never been a better time to join us.
You will join a team of Building Surveyors to collaborate on diverse projects including refurbishments, extensions, planned maintenance and new build projects, with a varied range of clients across North Yorkshire and beyond.
- Delivering a broad range of Building Surveying services including surveys, design, project delivery and contract administration
- Inspecting buildings, identifying defects, and developing appropriate technical solutions
- Producing clear, professional reports, specifications, schedules of work, and technical drawings
- Managing projects from inception through to completion, working closely with clients and contractors
- Coordinating with internal multi-disciplinary teams to provide integrated project solutions
- Attending site visits, surveys, and meetings, ensuring projects are delivered safely and compliantly
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members and contributing to team development
What We Are Looking For
- A degree in Building Surveying accredited by the RICS
- Ideally working toward, or already holding, Chartered status (MRICS)
- Post‑graduate experience working as a Building Surveyor
- Strong technical knowledge across building pathology, construction technology, and contract administration
- Confidence managing projects and delivering services with minimal supervision
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, NBS, and Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with clients and colleagues
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required
