Location: Northallerton, North Yorkshire (Based from Northallerton with travel across North Yorkshire)

Contract: Permanent, Full-Time (40 hours/week)

Salary: From £42,212 per year + Overtime opportunities

This role is within NYH Property, which operates independently from the highways maintenance side of NY Highways. While NYH Property is part of the wider NY Highways group, this position focuses solely on property maintenance and construction across a range of private, public and commercial buildings not highways or road infrastructure.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supervising day‑to‑day construction and highways maintenance activities
  • Ensuring safe systems of work and compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Managing resources, site documentation, and project delivery
  • Liaising with contractors, internal teams, and stakeholders
  • Leading Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) meetings and resolving site issues
  • Line managing operatives, conducting appraisals, and supporting development
  • Monitoring site progress, financial performance, and audit documentation
  • Assessing traffic management needs and ensuring legal compliance
  • Participating in the out‑of‑hours call‑out rota for emergency repairs
  • Leading daily briefings and promoting NY Highways’ values and behaviours
