We’re looking for a motivated Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team and support the delivery of vital highways and infrastructure projects across North Yorkshire. This is a career graded role, designed to develop your skills, confidence and experience giving you a clear pathway to progress into a Quantity Surveyor role.

What you’ll be doing

  • Supporting the administration of contracts and subcontracts
  • Monitoring costs, value and financial performance of projects
  • Assisting with change management, compensation events and claims
  • Preparing and reviewing interim and final accounts
  • Tracking progress and maintaining accurate project records
  • Supporting cost forecasting, reporting and risk management
  • Building strong relationships with colleagues, clients and supply chain partners

What we’re looking for

  • Good standard of education
  • Working towards (or willing to work towards) a HND or degree in Quantity Surveying
  • Understanding of cost management, contracts and financial processes
  • Strong IT, analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and meet deadlines
  • Experience in highways, infrastructure or a similar commercial role
  • Knowledge of NEC contracts or highway works
  • Understanding of procurement and supply chain management
