Role Overview: As an Electrical Building Services Engineer, you will contribute to designing and delivering electrical solutions for various building projects across the region.
Responsibilities
- Electrical condition surveys
- Electrical design from concept to detail
- Project management and contract administration
- Providing early-stage design advice and technical consultancy
- Managing complex workloads and promoting collaboration across disciplines
- Deliver smart, cost‑effective solutions that meet client expectations.
- Offering advice on Health & Safety, fire safety, and sustainability throughout the design and construction phases, ensuring compliance with CDM regulations and best practice standards.
Qualifications and Experience
- A degree or HNC in Building Services/Electrical Engineering
- Substantial experience in an electrical engineering role
- Commitment to professional development, ideally working towards MCIBSE
- Confidence in conducting electrical surveys, defect analysis, and feasibility reporting
- High‑quality electrical designs and documentation across RIBA stages
- Ability to mentor colleagues while working collaboratively across disciplines
- Oversee site installations and ensure compliance with NEC/JCT contracts
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, NBS, and Microsoft Office
- Strong understanding of CDM regulations, fire safety, and sustainability principles
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the area
