Contract: Permanent, Full-Time, Monday to Friday

Role Overview: As an Electrical Building Services Engineer, you will contribute to designing and delivering electrical solutions for various building projects across the region.

Responsibilities

  • Electrical condition surveys
  • Electrical design from concept to detail
  • Project management and contract administration
  • Providing early-stage design advice and technical consultancy
  • Managing complex workloads and promoting collaboration across disciplines
  • Deliver smart, cost‑effective solutions that meet client expectations.
  • Offering advice on Health & Safety, fire safety, and sustainability throughout the design and construction phases, ensuring compliance with CDM regulations and best practice standards.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A degree or HNC in Building Services/Electrical Engineering
  • Substantial experience in an electrical engineering role
  • Commitment to professional development, ideally working towards MCIBSE
  • Confidence in conducting electrical surveys, defect analysis, and feasibility reporting
  • High‑quality electrical designs and documentation across RIBA stages
  • Ability to mentor colleagues while working collaboratively across disciplines
  • Oversee site installations and ensure compliance with NEC/JCT contracts
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, NBS, and Microsoft Office
  • Strong understanding of CDM regulations, fire safety, and sustainability principles
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the area
