Location: Broadmanor, North Duffield, Selby, North Yorkshire YO8 5RZ

Hours: 12.5 hours per week (term time hours before or after the school day, with flexibility during the school holidays).

Contract: Established Post (full year, subject to 6‑month probation).

Salary: £13.28 per hour.

Responsibilities

  • General dusting of furniture, fixings and fittings.
  • Dust control mopping/sweeping of floors.
  • Cleaning and polishing floors using an electrical buffing machine.
  • Damp/wet mopping of floors.
  • Polishing furniture, cleaning internal glass.
  • Cleaning sanitary fittings.
  • Using cleaning materials as instructed.
  • Emptying waste paper bins.
  • Wiping surfaces, fixtures, fittings and paintwork.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience with cleaning equipment and chemicals preferred; full training will be provided.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

Other Information

Post is subject to a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service criminal records check and pre‑employment checks. The school has a robust Child Protection Policy and all staff will receive relevant training at induction and throughout employment. This role may include additional hours as Relief Kitchen Assistant for the right candidate.
