Aspin Park Academy is a warm and welcoming school set in the beautiful town of Knaresborough. We are fortunate to be set in spacious, green grounds in a quiet area. Our school is a wonderful place to work, with a kind and supportive team of colleagues. We are a two-form entry school, so our teachers benefit from working alongside a year group colleague, sharing planning.
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, inspiring teacher who is committed to delivering high standards of teaching and learning in a Year 5 class. The successful candidate will have the ability to provide a high-quality learning experience as well as the enthusiasm and energy to engage and motivate all pupils.
Job purpose
- Be responsible for the learning and achievement of all pupils in the class ensuring equality of opportunity for all
- Be responsible and accountable for achieving the highest possible standards in work and conduct
- Treat pupils with dignity, building relationships rooted in mutual respect, and at all times observing proper boundaries appropriate to a teacher’s professional position
- Work proactively and effectively in collaboration and partnership with learners, parents/carers, governors, other staff and Elevate MAT in the best interests of pupils
- Take responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school
The post is offered on a fixed term basis.
