General Teaching Assistant (SEN) within the EYFS Setting. The Headteacher and Governing Body of Hunmanby Primary School are seeking to appoint a motivated and inspiring GTA (SEN) to join our small, friendly team. Under the direction of the class teacher, this post will be within the EYFS setting to support and improve access to learning for a child/children with additional needs. The role will involve 1:1 work as well as integrated support with the whole class. This would be on a fixed term basis, until 31st July 2027.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience working with children, has sound knowledge of EYFS (in particular SEN children);
- Be supportive, nurturing, patient and understanding;
- Be able to develop positive working relationships with pupils, parents, staff and other professionals;
- Be able to support in the delivery of high quality learning experiences for all pupils;
- Have high expectations of learning and behaviour and inspire and motivate our children;
- Seek to make learning exciting and a positive experience;
- Work well as part of a team;
- Demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills;
- Is able to use their initiative and work flexibly;
- Is positive and resilient;
- Be willing to undertake and act on relevant professional development and training.
