We are seeking a School Administrator to join our dedicated team at Follifoot Church of England Primary School and play a vital role in supporting the smooth day-to-day running of our school.

This is an exciting opportunity to become the welcoming face of the school, supporting pupils, families, staff and visitors while contributing to a positive learning environment.

About the Role

Working within our busy school office, you will provide high-quality administrative and reception support to the Executive Headteacher and wider school team.

No two days are the same, and you will be involved in a wide range of responsibilities including:

  • Acting as the first point of contact for visitors, parents and telephone enquiries.
  • Providing administrative support including correspondence, filing, photocopying and recordkeeping.
  • Maintaining electronic and manual records with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Supporting the organisation of school events, appointments and activities.
  • Processing and recording school payments, trip monies and other financial transactions.
  • Ordering stationery and office supplies and monitoring stock levels.
  • Assisting with the production of school communications, newsletters and promotional materials.
  • Supporting staff to ensure the efficient operation of the school office.

About You

We are looking for someone who

  • Has previous administrative or clerical experience.
  • Is confident using Microsoft Office and computerised systems.
  • Has excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrates strong literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Can communicate effectively with children, parents, staff and visitors.
  • Remains calm, professional and approachable in a busy environment.
  • Understands the importance of confidentiality and data protection.
  • Enjoys working as part of a supportive team.

This is a term-time only position, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

The successful candidate will be expected to work during the school's core office hours, providing consistent administrative and reception support throughout the school day.

Specific working patterns will be discussed at interview and may be arranged to meet the operational needs of the school and federation.

As part of our collaborative federation approach, there may be occasions when flexibility is required to support activities, events or meetings across both schools.

We are therefore looking for someone who is adaptable, enjoys working as part of a wider team and is willing to support colleagues when needed.

The role includes attendance at training days and other professional development opportunities throughout the year, reflecting our commitment to continuous improvement and staff development.

Working Pattern

  • Term Time Only plus Training Days
  • 37.5 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday
  • 8am to 4 pm including lunchtime duties
