About the role

North Yorkshire County Council’sAdult Learning and Skills service delivers life changing programmes toindividuals aged 19+ across the whole region. Lifelong learning can improvewellbeing, improve job prospects and help develop strong communities. We make areal difference to many people, and we can do more. You will be part of acounty-wide team supporting the communities of North Yorkshire to access arange of opportunities across the county, and you must be able to travel tosupport this approach. We are looking for invigilators to join our establishedteam in the Harrogate area. Our team of invigilators oversee the running ofAdult Learning exams in venues across the county. The successful applicantsshould demonstrate availability for exams held throughout the year for daytimeand evening slots. Invigilators will be required to complete mandatory trainingfor the role and attend at least two meetings a year to ensure compliance withexamination regulations.

About you

We are seeking highly motivated,committed and enthusiastic Invigilators to work in venues across the Harrogate area. The successful candidate will be reliable and have excellentcommunication and interpersonal skills.You will have a strong attention todetail and will be able to prove that you can remain calm under pressure, asthis is vital to the role. The successful candidate will also be required toshow that they are able to apply guidelines and regulations accurately and in aconsistent manner. It is also essential that you have good working ICT skills,literacy and numeracy skills to provide support with the online examinationprocess. You will be expected to check and respond to emails weekly.
