About the Role
As an HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. Working closely with class teachers, you will support individuals and small groups of pupils, and at times lead whole-class learning within a structured framework.
You will:
- Deliver high-quality support to help pupils access the curriculum and reach their full potential
- Lead learning activities and occasionally teach whole classes under guidance
- Provide tailored 1:1 and small group interventions
- Promote positive behaviour, independence, and inclusion
- Monitor pupil progress and provide constructive feedback
- Prepare and adapt learning resources to meet a range of needs
- Support pupils’ wellbeing, including personal, social, and emotional development
