This is an exciting opportunity to join the Destination Marketing Team within North Yorkshire Council’s destination management and marketing organisation, Visit North Yorkshire. Formed in 2023 following the merging of seven district and borough councils, the tourism service is on an exciting journey, positioning North Yorkshire as a must‑visit UK destination, encouraging visitors to stay longer, explore more, and contribute to the visitor economy, driven by the North Yorkshire Destination Management Plan.
The Role
As Destination Campaign Manager (West), you’ll play a central role in a creative, fast‑paced and collaborative marketing team, leading the development and delivery of inspiring campaigns that showcase North Yorkshire. Focusing on the West of the county covering destinations such as Harrogate, Ripon, Knaresborough, Skipton, Richmond, Thirsk, Northallerton and Selby, alongside the Yorkshire Dales National Park and Nidderdale National Landscape, you will:
- Lead high‑impact, multi‑channel marketing campaigns that drive visits and engagement
- Act as the go‑to expert and ambassador for the West area, bringing local knowledge and strong industry relationships
- Work closely with tourism businesses and partners to tell compelling destination stories
- Shape creative content that captures attention and puts North Yorkshire front of mind
