In this dynamic, fast paced role, you will be the driving force behind our hospitality success, transforming detailed operational plans into flawless event realities. From setting up catering zones alongside the Catering Event Manager, to leading a dedicated team through the preparation and delivery of busy events, your hands on supervision will ensure every event is delivered to perfection.

You will:

  • Ensure the highest food and service standards are delivered in line with HCC standards to consistently exceed client expectations
  • Contribute actively to pre-event team briefings to ensure all staff understand their specific roles and the client requirements, and carry out their jobs to the best of their ability in a timely and efficient manner
  • Oversee live event operations through direct observation, hands on participation, and proactive staff redirection during peak demand hours
  • Ensure all staff carry out tasks in accordance with company health, hygiene, quality, and safety standards
  • Work with the Catering Event Managers to develop new ideas and strategies to deliver the best events
  • Collaborate closely with the wider hospitality team to guarantee professional, smooth, and timely service execution
  • Stay fully up to date with all mandatory Health & Safety and Food Safety procedures and operational methods

Person Specification

  • Proven track record of supervising teams within a busy catering or hospitality environment
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and manual handling procedures
  • Confident and clear communicator in spoken and written English
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Food Safety Level 2 qualification
  • Physically able to work long hours on your feet and move heavy catering equipment safely around the venue as required
