Carers’ Resource is delighted to be able to advertise a new role to support carers and those they care for. We are seeking:
- Vacancy Hours: 30 hours – Harrogate and district (office base Harrogate)
- Contract Type: Permanent
- Location: Harrogate, North Yorkshire
You will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of the Carers Time Off sitting service, which enables unpaid carers to have a break from their caring role through providing volunteers to sit with the person with care needs. This service is delivered wholly by volunteers, and you will liaise with carers, carry out assessments for clients and match with volunteers. You will be responsible for the recruitment of and support for volunteers. You must drive and have access to your own vehicle.
This role offers a unique opportunity to positively impact the lives of carers and those they care for while collaborating with local partners and working within a dedicated team. Your efforts will contribute to building a supportive community and fostering awareness about the crucial role of carers in society. You will be based at our Harrogate office with travel across Harrogate district, including Ripon, Pateley Bridge, Knaresborough and surrounding villages.
