We are also excited to launch our New Targeted Mainstream Provision. Our TMP will be an exciting development for North Yorkshire and the Scarborough locality. Our vision is to provide a bespoke educational setting for up to sixteen children across two classes with EHCPs within inclusive mainstream settings. Role
We are looking for caring, patient, and nurturing Teaching Assistants to join our school supporting pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans. We have opportunities in EYFS/ KS1 and in KS2, you will be placed based on experience and preference. You will get to know our pupils well and will enjoy seeing them flourish and progress through the year.
Key duties
- Assisting the teacher in delivering and preparing materials for engaging and inclusive lessons and activities, helping to create a positive and stimulating learning environment.
- Working under the guidance of the class teacher, you will support pupils within whole-class settings as well as in small groups, providing targeted learning support to enable all pupils to fully engage in their learning and achieve their potential.
This is a wonderful opportunity to be a champion for inclusive education for all our children.
You will have:
- Relevant NVQ Level 2 qualification or equivalent
- An awareness of child/young person’s development and learning
- An understanding that children/Young people have differing needs
- Experience appropriate to working with children in a learning environment (This can be as part of the level 2 course placements)
Make a genuine impact: Support and develop our targeted mainstream SEN provision, ensuring every child receives the support they need to thrive.
Collaborative environment: Work alongside a supportive and committed team of teachers, other teaching assistants, and external agencies.
