Do you want a driving role where you can make a real difference every single day? Yorwaste is excited to offer new opportunities to join our Transport team as a Recycling Collection Vehicle (RCV) Driver at Harewood Whin Transfer Station.
Secure base salary of £42,648.80
Contract: Permanent, full-time
Hours: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday - 12 hours per day - start time 5 AM until 5:30 PM (Half hour lunch deducted).
This position does require lone working.

Yorwaste's Drivers are responsible for providing services to our commercial customers across York and North Yorkshire. Working independently, you will show good management of personal workload, ensuring the safe operation and driving of our various vehicles, in line with our health and safety standards.
As an RCV Driver, you will be responsible for the collection of recycling material including food waste. You will demonstrate good organisational and time-management skills, adapting to varying routes and schedules based on the evolving needs of our clients and the business. Being a positive and enthusiastic person, you will be able to adapt to operational obstacles that may arise in varying weather conditions. Excellent communication skills are required to coordinate regularly with our transport planners and the wider team, ensuring an efficient and friendly service.
Essential Qualifications
- Category C Drivers Licence (Class 2) with no historical driving disqualifications.
- Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
