About the Role:
As part of our catering team, you will be performing a variety of tasks to help prepare tasty, nutritious meals from locally sourced fresh produce. As a Catering Assistant your role will be to support the Cook/Catering Manager in delivering an effective catering service operating to the highest standards of food safety.
An additional element of this role involves the delivery of prepared food to another local school located less than one mile away. A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential, along with appropriate business insurance. Mileage costs for this travel will be reimbursed by NYES. Further details regarding the logistics of this arrangement can be discussed at interview.
On a daily basis you will be setting out and clearing away dining furniture, serving meals to students and staff, washing up and cleaning the kitchen and dining room. You will be a valued member of our friendly team who is reliable, dependable and committed working from 11:00 to 13:45, totalling to 13.75 hours per week over 5 days.
You will work term time weeks only; however, you will receive equal monthly payments throughout the year. You will be paid £13.28 per hour in addition to annual holiday and Bank Holiday entitlement. Occasional overtime may be available to cover absences within the kitchen and other local schools.
