Salary: £18,300.00 which includes a £1,067.00 SEN allowance per year

Contract: Permanent, Term Time

Location: Mowbray School, Ripon

Position: Advanced Teaching Assistant (SEND), vacancies at both our Ripon and Bedale sites

Hours: 31.3 hours/week, Term Time Only.

Working Hours:

1. Monday: 8.45am – 4.20pm
2. Tuesday, Thursday & Friday: 8.45am – 3.45pm

Mowbray Special School is based over 2 sites. The main school is situated in Bedale and caters for children aged 3 to 16. The Satellite School is in Ripon and provides an education for children aged 3 to 11. We currently have over 300 pupils on role across both sites and are the largest special school in North Yorkshire.

Our schools are thriving, caring and popular, educating both primary and secondary pupils with a variety of learning difficulties and specialist needs. The schools are exciting, busy, high achieving and enjoyable to work in.

We are seeking to appoint highly motivated, energetic and committed Advanced Teaching Assistants at both our Ripon and Bedale sites on a permanent contract as soon as possible.

You will support teaching and other staff in assisting the delivery of the curriculum and other learning processes, in direct contact with pupils.

The successful postholder will assist in the planning, preparation and delivery of learning activities, as well as with monitoring, recording and reporting on students. The role will involve working with both groups and individual pupils under the direction of appropriate staff.
