Harbour Lights Care is a CQC-rated Good, domiciliary care provider supporting people to live independently in their own homes. We’re growing our team across Whitby and Sleights and are looking for compassionate, caring, and reliable Mobile Care Assistants to join us on a Bank, Part-Time or Full-Time basis.

About the Role

We offer flexibility to help your work fit around your life. Shifts are generally between 8am – 9pm. Occasional sleepover shifts available. Options for long days, split shifts, and personalised rotas.

We provide home care services ranging from 1 hour visits to 4/5 hour visits. This role includes supporting:

  • Elderly clients
  • People with mental health challenges
  • Individuals with physical disabilities

Typical duties include:

  • Personal care
  • Medication support
  • Assistance with meals and hydration
  • Community access

Drivers with their own car are essential for this role.

Training & Development

Care Certificate / NVQ is desirable but not essential. Full training provided. We can support you to complete your care qualifications including an NVQ. 45p per mile, mileage allowance. Employee of the Month recognition.

It is a criminal offence for people who are barred from working in Regulated Activity (under the Safeguarding and Vulnerable Groups Act 2006) to apply for roles that require them to work unsupervised with adults at risk.
