Hours: 12.5 hours per week (term time hours before or after the school day, with flexibility during the school holidays).
Contract: Established Post (full year, subject to 6‑month probation).
Salary: £13.28 per hour.
Responsibilities
- General dusting of furniture, fixings and fittings.
- Dust control mopping/sweeping of floors.
- Cleaning and polishing floors using an electrical buffing machine.
- Damp/wet mopping of floors.
- Polishing furniture, cleaning internal glass.
- Cleaning sanitary fittings.
- Using cleaning materials as instructed.
- Emptying waste paper bins.
- Wiping surfaces, fixtures, fittings and paintwork.
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience with cleaning equipment and chemicals preferred; full training will be provided.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Other Information
Post is subject to a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service criminal records check and pre‑employment checks. The school has a robust Child Protection Policy and all staff will receive relevant training at induction and throughout employment. This role may include additional hours as Relief Kitchen Assistant for the right candidate.
