The Opportunity

As our Scheduler, you'll play a pivotal role in coordinating highways maintenance activities across North Yorkshire. Working closely with operational teams, supervisors and client stakeholders, you'll ensure work programmes are planned effectively, resources are utilised efficiently and services are delivered safely and on time.

What you'll do:

  • Coordinate and programme highways maintenance activities.
  • Manage changing priorities and operational workloads.
  • Liaise with supervisors, managers and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure works are planned in accordance with Health & Safety requirements.
  • Support compliance with the Traffic Management Act and Street Works legislation.
  • Monitor programme delivery and help resolve scheduling conflicts.
  • Occasional county-wide travel if required.

What you’ll bring:

  • Experience working within highways maintenance, construction, utilities or another operational scheduling environment.
  • Strong commitment to Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental principles.
  • Understanding and awareness of good customer service.
  • Systematic and timely approach to decision making, problem solving and change management.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Project, and Outlook.
