Appleby Westward is the SPAR Wholesaler and Retailer covering the West of England. The Retail Distribution Centre and Support Offices are based in Saltash, Cornwall, and we employ around 2,000 colleagues who support our wholesale distribution operations for both our independent retail estate and company‑owned retail stores.

Location: Weeke, Winchester, Hampshire.

Role Overview

The Customer Service Assistant works in a SPAR store, delivering excellent customer service, maintaining store standards, and supporting stock and cash management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly welcome customers and provide excellent service.
  • Ensure store standards, cleanliness, and an appealing environment.
  • Process sales transactions accurately, including cash handling and tills.
  • Own the receiving, replenishing and displaying of stock.
  • Comply with legal and food‑quality standards, Age‑Related Sales regulations, and Health & Safety guidelines.
