We are seeking a skilled and motivated professional to join our team and play a key role in delivering high‑quality services to our organisation. We are committed to providing training and development, supportive working environments, and scope for progression.
The Role
Based at the depot, this role is responsible for the delivery of ambient goods, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of retailers’ orders. The successful candidate will pay particular attention to route departure times and vehicle load capacities. This position involves multi‑drop deliveries, as well as loading vehicles in preparation for dispatch. The role also requires regular “handballing” of goods into store, so a good level of physical fitness is essential.
Working Pattern
This is an AM shift role working Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Applicants should have
- Full clean valid LGV C + E driving licence;
- Driver’s full CPC qualification and digi card;
- Driving rigid vehicles with drawbar trailers experience preferred but training can be provided for suitable candidates;
- Must have a smart appearance as this role is customer facing;
- Flexibility and good timekeeping is essential, as rounds could change at short notice to meet the operational needs of the business;
- You will be required to assist in the loading of vehicles as and when required;
- The ability to adhere to stringent Health and Safety guidelines.
