A rare opening within a highly sought-after, prestigious fund for a new senior Funds Lawyer to join their ranks; seeking a lawyer of at least 7 years PQE. This In-House Counsel role offers the successful candidate the chance to further their legal career in the Funds, Private Equity, and Regulatory sector, working with and learning from an outstanding business team.

The Role:

  • Reporting directly into the GC
  • Working on all aspects of in-house legal work especially funds work
  • Providing general legal support for the asset management business across UK, Europe, and the US
  • Ensuring governance and regulatory compliance across UK, Europe, Asia and Middle East
  • Advising on in-scope asset management related regulations, including GDPR, EMIR, AIFMD and MiFID
  • Reviewing/negotiating/drafting a range of agreements including commercial contracts, trading and financing agreements, NDAs, DPAs and research agreements
  • Instructing and working with external counsel as required
  • Working on strategic projects

About You:

  • At least 7 years PQE and currently working in a leading asset management/investment Funds practice. Holding a UK qualification
  • The desire to manage and grow a high performing team
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills as well as technical excellence
