We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Great Barr, working closely with Applebough Education to support pupils within the school’s SEN Hub.

The Role:

  • Provide consistent 2:1 support for pupils with Special Educational Needs within the SEN Hub
  • Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies
  • Support pupils’ academic, social, emotional, and behavioural development
  • Use Team Teach strategies to manage behaviour and promote a safe learning environment
  • Contribute to a calm, structured, and nurturing setting

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Proven experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant in a primary school or SEN setting
  • Team Teach training (essential)
  • Experience providing 2:1 support, ideally within an SEN Hub or specialist provision
  • A patient, resilient, and proactive approach
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • A clear understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
