The successful candidate will:
- Deliver engaging and high-quality Science lessons across KS3 and GCSE
- Support strong student progress and attainment
- Contribute to sixth form teaching within Biology, Chemistry, or Physics
- Plan and deliver practical investigations safely and effectively
- Use assessment for learning, retrieval practice, and adaptive teaching strategies
- Create a positive classroom culture with high expectations for behaviour and achievement
- Contribute to intervention programmes, enrichment, and STEM activities
- Support the wider pastoral life of the school
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Has strong subject knowledge in Science
- Can teach engaging lessons across mixed-ability classes
- Demonstrates excellent behaviour management skills
- Has experience or interest in GCSE and A-Level teaching
- Understands curriculum planning, assessment, and student progress tracking
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people
- Works collaboratively within a supportive department team
