We are currently recruiting for a fantastic SEN school in the Brierley Hill area, supporting children and young people with complex needs. The school is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their supportive and friendly team.
The Role
You will work closely with pupils who have a range of complex needs, providing both educational and personal support throughout the school day.
- Supporting pupils with complex learning and additional needs.
- Providing personal care, including toileting, changing and other intimate care requirements.
- Supporting pupils with their learning, communication and social development.
- Helping to create a safe, positive and stimulating learning environment.
- Managing challenging situations calmly and appropriately.
- Working closely with teachers and other professionals to support individual pupil needs.
- Encouraging independence and helping pupils develop essential life skills.
- Being proactive in identifying ways to engage and support individual children.
About You
- Proactive, patient and compassionate.
- Comfortable providing personal care - this is an essential requirement.
- Experienced working with children or young people with SEN, or keen to develop experience within a specialist setting.
- Calm and confident when supporting children with complex needs.
- Able to build strong, trusting relationships with pupils.
- A positive team player who enjoys working collaboratively.
- Reliable, resilient and committed to making a difference.
