Introduction

Support the care, learning, and development of young children in a safe and nurturing environment. Working alongside experienced practitioners, the apprentice helps deliver engaging activities, follow safeguarding and health and safety procedures, and build positive relationships with children and families.

About the Employer

Apple Blossom Day Nursery Pallion St. Luke’s is situated in a newly purpose built building with a lovely secure garden within the grounds of St.Luke’s Church. It is located at the end of Pallion Shopping Terrace, close to the Sunderland Royal Hospital and Sunderland City Centre.

What You’ll Do

Support children's learning and development through play and planned activities. Help provide a safe, caring, and stimulating environment. Assist with daily routines, including meals, personal care, and outdoor play. Observe and record children’s progress. Support the planning and delivery of age‑appropriate activities. Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues. Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies. Encourage positive behaviour and promote children's wellbeing. Work as part of the nursery team while completing the Level3 apprenticeship. Attend training and complete apprenticeship coursework.
