This role is critical to delivering intelligent messaging capabilities that leverage AI and ML to simplify workflows, optimize experiences, and scale across Apple Services.
Description
As the Product Lead for AI-assisted messaging and system architecture, you’ll set the strategic direction and be accountable for delivering capabilities that enhance the messaging platform to meet changing business and customer needs.
Success in this role requires simplifying complexity, aligning cross-functional teams, and maintaining a strong customer experience mindset.
You’ll be hands‑on while guiding a high-performing cross-functional team to ship scalable, innovative messaging capabilities that deliver workflow efficiency and business results.
- Product
- Lead the product vision and roadmap for AI and ML capabilities and system architecture, ensuring alignment with Apple Services business goals and customer needs.
- Define and deliver core platform capabilities, synthesizing multiple partner inputs into a coherent, prioritized roadmap.
- Define and deliver product requirements and technical specifications in partnership with Engineering.
- Drive the application of AI and ML to automate workflows and continuously optimize messaging experiences and outcomes.
- Define success criteria and evaluation frameworks to ensure AI-assisted capabilities deliver high-quality, reliable customer and business outcomes.
- Partner with Analytics to measure impact and attribution, and inform ongoing investment decisions.
- Operations
- Advocate for innovative AI-assisted capabilities that serve business goals and deliver customer delight.
- Drive roadmap execution and accountability through strong cross-functional collaboration.
- Apply customer‑centric and agile methods to continually test, learn, and launch new capabilities and enhancements.
- Ensure capabilities are scalable, reliable, and designed to support the evolving needs of the messaging platform.
- Collaboration
- Partner closely with Engineering, Design, Analytics, and Data Science to innovate and execute the product roadmap.
- Drive collaboration across high-performing matrix teams to build scalable solutions and deliver impactful results within Apple’s ecosystem.
- Collaborate with Legal, Finance, and Privacy teams to ensure compliance and ship privacy-centric products.
- Minimum Qualifications
- Proven product management experience building and scaling platform products and capabilities.
- Strong systems thinking, with the technical depth to partner with Engineering and Data Science on the architecture, data, models, and platform foundations required to scale AI capabilities.
- Hands‑on experience leveraging AI tooling to rapidly develop, prototype, and productize ideas.
- Proven experience delivering AI and ML capabilities within complex products or platforms, including the automation of end-to-end workflows.
- Proven ability to simplify complex problems, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail, with the ability to shift between strategic and tactical.
- Data‑driven decision‑maker who draws insights from both data and customer discovery.
- Comfortable partnering with technical and business stakeholders across all levels.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Passion for delivering customer experiences that meet Apple’s bar for excellence.
- Knowledge of messaging platforms, Mar Tech, product marketing, or Saa S/subscriptions is a plus.
- Naturally curious, with strong initiative and a passion for emerging technologies and innovation.
- Experience managing international teams is a plus.
- Understanding of marketing and the customer lifecycle.
