The wireless RFIC team architects, designs, and validates radio transceivers integrated into complex wireless SoCs. Our wireless organization is responsible for all aspects of wireless silicon development that transform the user experience at the product level, driven by a vertically integrated engineering team spanning RF/Analog architecture and design, Systems/PHY/MAC architecture and design, VLSI/RTL design, integration, Emulation, Design Verification, Test and Validation, and FW/SW engineering. As an RFIC Design Engineer within the Wireless Radio team, you will contribute to Apple’s state-of-the-art wireless connectivity solutions integrated into hundreds of millions of products. Key Qualifications: RF/analog and mixed signal design experience in cutting-edge RF CMOS design. Deep experience in designing and mass production of wireless transceivers is a plus. Understanding of analog, mixed-signal, and RF circuit design, including LNAs, PAs, PLL/VCO/DCO/LOGEN, mixers, filters, amplifiers, data converters, and calibration methods. Knowledge of noise analysis, linearity, mismatch, stability, and other impairments. Familiarity with RF transceiver architectures, system specifications, and translating system requirements into circuit requirements. Understanding of modulation impact on radio architecture. Ability to collaborate with digital design teams for optimal partitioning. Experience with Cadence Virtuoso, Spectre RF, Matlab, EM simulation tools, and mixed-signal verification methodologies. Experience in silicon characterization and debugging. Description: As RFIC Design Engineer, your responsibilities include: Designing RFICs from concept to transistor-level implementation, including trade-off analysis. Designing radio transceiver blocks such as TX, RX, and PLL-LOGen. Collaborating with RF Systems for specifications and margin allocation. Designing RF and Analog loopbacks for calibration. Addressing Co-Existence scenarios and design compliance. Overseeing layout and verification for successful tape-out. Working closely with test engineers during bring-up, debug, and optimization. Providing measurement correlation and ensuring compliance for volume production.
