This is a unique opportunity to join Apple as a home-based People Business Partner supporting the UK Retail team, which includes regular travel to our stores. We are open to applications from anywhere across the UK, with a specific lens of supporting stores in the North UK.
As a People Business Partner, you will be a trusted strategic partner, experienced coach, and inclusion advocate for leaders across UK Retail. You will translate Apple's vision and strategic priorities into meaningful People strategies and solutions that make a real impact on both the business and the employee experience. This is not a transactional role. It is a role for someone who brings deep business understanding, sound judgement, and the kind of trusted relationships that enable leaders to make confident, well-informed people decisions, doing the work only a PBP can do, with rigour, care, and intention.
The Retail organisation leads a critical and strategic imperative for the company, seamlessly integrating across Apple's ecosystem, and bringing the highest quality experience our customers expect and deserve.
To be successful in this role, you will need to deeply understand your client group and uncover root causes to develop insight-driven recommendations. You will act as a connector across the People ecosystem to deliver joined-up solutions, building trust and shaping outcomes.
Responsibilities- Act as a trusted advisor to leaders by translating business priorities into actionable People plans, organisational health initiatives, and workforce strategies.
- Coach and develop senior leaders to build high-performing, inclusive teams.
- Guide leaders through organisational change, fostering resilience and maintaining a positive employee experience throughout.
- Design and lead the delivery of comprehensive talent strategies and core People programmes in your markets, covering succession planning, performance management, development priorities, and total compensation.
- Champion employee engagement and integrate Inclusion and Diversity into all People activity.
- Actively support and lead employee and labour relations initiatives, navigating complex situations including investigations, performance concerns, and change management with sound judgement and care.
- Partner with Recruitment, Employee Relations, Legal, Compensation, and cross-functional teams to deliver a seamless employee experience.
- Leverage People data and analytics to surface insights, track progress, and present recommendations that drive better business and people outcomes.
- Leverage AI, automation, and emerging tools to scale impact and improve how People work gets done.
- Act as a force multiplier by mentoring peers, sharing expertise, and raising the capability of the broader People team.
- Extensive proven experience as a People or Human Resources Business Partner in a complex, matrixed organisation.
- Track record of translating business needs into effective People strategies and solutions.
- Proven success in advanced talent management and organisational development.
- Strong analytical capability, with the ability to translate People data into insight and action.
- Skilled at building trust and navigating complex stakeholder environments.
- Ability to manage competing priorities with flexibility and sound judgement.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to coach, influence, and inspire senior leaders across multiple levels.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred; advanced degree and HR certifications valued.
- Experience in a multinational environment, specifically partnering across different countries and navigating international nuances.
- Experience in Employee and Labour Relations.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor peers and extend impact beyond individual contributions.
- Coaching qualification or equivalent professional development.
- Familiarity with AI tools, Workday, or comparable HRIS platforms.
- Project or programme management experience.
