Description
This high-impact role is critical to Apple's international expansion and subscriber growth for its services, playing a key role in shaping the future of media and entertainment consumption globally.
We are looking for a highly motivated, collaborative, and experienced individual with both mastery of financial modeling, as well as exceptional soft skills.
The role requires a prolific and proactive individual who can take ownership of a high volume of cross-functional workstreams and combine research, analysis, and brainstorming with multiple teams globally (including leads for 40+ international markets, lines of businesses, finance, analytics, commerce, product, and marketing) to produce insights and actionable growth strategies.
The candidate should be adept at building relationships, leading meetings with confidence, influencing stakeholders, and driving concrete business outcomes.
The candidate should be able to read a room, understand different cultural nuances, and adapt their communication style accordingly.
The candidate must also have excellent presentation and communication skills.
This role will be highly visible within the organization since senior leadership depends heavily on this team to drive important business decisions globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Services leadership globally in setting strategic priorities and goals for priority markets, shaping business plans, and providing recommendations on how to grow our portfolio of services.
- Research, identify, define and deliver commercial growth initiatives and deals backed by detailed financial models and business cases to drive the most impactful initiatives.
- Develop and maintain a suite of models for forecasting, performance tracking, and scenario analysis across global distribution channels.
- Collaborate closely with partner managers to track and assess key KPIs and growth drivers, including proactively surfacing insights to help drive success with our partnerships.
- Develop a deep understanding of industry trends as well as competitive developments relevant for business performance.
- Provide executives with business reporting and insights.
- Develop, size and prioritize business cases of new initiatives for business growth and pitch confidently to senior executives.
- Minimum Qualifications
- Extensive experience preferably from an in-house strategy and business planning role at a leading media or entertainment company, and/or a top-tier management consultancy or investment bank working on telecom, media, and technology projects.
- Experience within the media and entertainment industry and/or content subscription businesses.
- Skilled at managing and influencing senior stakeholders, able to build strong, credible, and collaborative relationships, and thrive in highly matrixed, cross-functional environments.
- Strong analytical skills; ability to conceive, structure, perform, direct, and effectively communicate sophisticated data analysis.
- Flexible and adaptable to manage the varying demands of a fast-paced business, with a hands-on attitude and attention to the finest of detail.
- High level of enthusiasm, innovation, and dedication with the ability to adapt easily to change and multitask.
- A natural presenter who can quickly distill information and synthesizing information into key insights and recommendations.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, with senior executives, including via formal presentations.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working across multiple international markets with an appreciation for working with different cultures.
- Masters in Business Administration or equivalent preferred.
- Fluent in English. Additional languages are valued.
