Apple Live Operations is looking for a Network Operations Manager to join our team and play a critical role in shaping the future of live sports at Apple. You will be responsible for coordinating production planning and executing critical platform workflows to ensure all first-party live sporting events are delivered seamlessly on Apple TV. In this role, you will manage the pre-event and post-event stages of our live broadcasts. The Network Operations Manager will work cross-functionally to ensure the requirements for all internal teams are met leading into a live event, as well as manage regular communication with external leagues and distribution partners. You will be responsible for delivering a reliable and optimal Apple TV live experience and product for our viewers.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate cross-functional coordination among teams involved in live events.
- Develop official event planning documentation and broadcast requirements.
- Manage and validate event set-up on Apple TV platform, across multiple storefronts and languages.
- Collaborate with the broadcast operations teams to support event handoff for live streams.
- Prepare contingency and disaster recovery action plans for live events.
- Guide internal and external incident management processes.
- Identify issue trends and analytics to improve live stream reliability.
- Innovate and enhance workflow solutions to streamline live event process.
Minimum Qualifications
- Proven experience in a production management role within either a live broadcast environment, or streaming in a high-tech multimedia environment.
- Proven ability to deliver complex end-to-end workflows while maintaining a keen attention to detail.
- Experience with project management and planning process for large-scale initiatives.
- Experience in building strong relationships with internal and external partners, vendors and stakeholders.
- Skilled in delivering concise and timely communication, both written and verbal.
- Adept at managing and leading teams through unexpected changes.
Preferred Qualifications
- A strong understanding of live television production and technical workflows.
- Experience regularly leading meetings and crafting executive-level reports.
- Proven ability to multitask and manage multiple responsibilities at once.
