Apple's worldwide communications team informs the world about our innovative products and services, and the values that drive everything we do. Areas of work include Public Relations, Corporate Events, Employee Communications, and Buzz Marketing. The team includes professionals with backgrounds in public relations, journalism, social media, writing and buzz marketing.
As Music PR manager in our European communications team, you will be expected to lead and drive strategy, planning and execution of Apple's PR initiatives for Apple Music, Apple Podcasts and Apple TV for Europe.
Responsibilities- Hands-on involvement engaging with reporters and content creators to craft stories about Apple Music, Apple Podcasts and Apple TV that showcase benefits to consumers.
- Craft and lead results-oriented PR programmes across music, entertainment, lifestyle, technology, national, broadcast and general business press.
- Build new relationships with content creators; partner with editorial teams to develop product positioning, messaging and competitive analysis.
- Travel to France and Germany on a regular basis; actively manage a network of European agencies; stay highly organized and able to meet tight deadlines with attention to detail.
- Lead publicity around the Apple Music radio stations, their shows and hosts, while not leading Apple TV shows.
- 7+ years experience in public relations, journalism, PR agency or corporate settings.
- Extensive experience in media relations and working with content creators, with a deep understanding of how people consume news and form opinions across social and traditional media.
- Passion for entertainment, culture, and consumer technology; ability to build formal and informal relationship networks with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills and strong project management skills.
- Strong teamwork and influencing abilities.
- Self-motivated, organized and a positive team-player; able to work with ambiguity on complex topics, skilled in multi-tasking and delivering under tight timelines.
- Results-driven with a strong eye for detail.
- Ability to balance partners and communicate with a variety of teams.
- Self-starter who is dedicated and demonstrates creative and critical thinking abilities.
