We are looking for a sharp, curious, and data-driven Engagement Optimisation Manager to join the International TV team. In this role, you will be the subject-matter expert in understanding how customers across international markets engage with the Apple TV App and Apple TV titles. You will translate complex platform data into clear insights that drive measurable performance improvements.
Working in close partnership with local platform teams, you will uncover opportunities, share best practices, and build compelling business cases for product improvements. Description
- Content Discovery & Creative Efficacy: Analyse data across the TV App Platform, pre-roll, and post-play to understand how customers discover and engage with Apple TV titles. Review platform creative performance to ensure titles are presented optimally for each geo, partnering with local teams to build the best possible creative suites.
- Canvas & Programming Optimization: Evaluate the efficacy of programming and collections. Lead the understanding of how different programming levers impact impressions and play rates, utilising daily metrics to recommend ad-hoc adjustments and ensure customers are served the right content at the right time.
- Viewership & Performance Tracking: Track high-level viewership data, benchmarking titles against comparables and goals. Monitor the health of completion and progression rates, highlighting opportunities to double down on success or flagging concerns that require strategic intervention.
- Product & Personalization Champion: Identify and champion optimizations to platform personalization. Build compelling, data-backed business cases for improvements to the TV App product, working cross-functionally to bring these ideas to customers.
- Global Best Practices: Develop strategies to increase engagement based on KPI benchmarks and share learnings broadly with international stakeholders, ensuring a cohesive and optimized global platform experience.
Minimum Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in streaming media, entertainment platforms, or digital subscription businesses, with a dedicated focus on growth analytics, engagement strategy, or product data science.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Looker) with the ability to independently query large, complex datasets to build self-service dashboards and extract actionable insights.
- Deep technical understanding of content discovery mechanisms, algorithms, recommendation systems, and user engagement patterns, with a proven track record of optimizing funnel conversion, retention cohorts, and Customer Lifetime Value (LTV).
- Strong foundation in statistical analysis and experimental design (A/B and multivariate testing), with the ability to define rigorous testing frameworks to validate product and programming improvements.
- Strong capability with analytics and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Excel, Numbers) to extract meaningful patterns, develop KPIs, and create self-service dashboards for stakeholders.
- Demonstrable success in building compelling business cases for product or feature enhancements and influencing cross-functional teams (Product, Content, Platform) without direct authority.
- Comfortable utilizing AI tools and pattern recognition outputs to extend analytical capacity across large datasets, prioritise workloads, and build scalable frameworks for performance monitoring.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data to executive leadership in a clear, compelling, and concise manner using Keynote.
