Summary At Apple, the Environment and Supply Chain Innovation team upholds Apple's values across the global supply chain.

We seek a human rights lead for the EMEA region, focusing on responsible material sourcing and the nexus of environment and human rights.

The role requires a deep understanding of global supply chains and may expand to cover additional programs in labor and human rights.

Description Serve as Apple's subject matter expert on human rights risks in upstream extractive materials and renewable energy supply chains, in alignment with international standards and Apple's Supplier Code of Conduct.

Integrate Just Transition principles into upstream sourcing strategy, including affected communities, worker transitions, and supply chain decarbonization.

Lead regulatory preparedness for EU CSDDD and other emerging supply chain legislation; monitor the landscape and translate developments into actionable intelligence.

Assess policy, program, and documentation gaps against regulatory requirements and build roadmaps to address them, including deep‑tier supply chains.

Represent Apple in industry working groups, multilateral forums, and standard‑setting bodies.

Build relationships — primarily in Europe — with NGOs, civil society, think tanks, and private sector partners; identify opportunities to advance Apple's human rights vision publicly.

Partner cross‑functionally with Government Affairs, Legal, Corporate Communications, Business Compliance, Procurement, and business teams.

Minimum Qualifications Master's degree (or equivalent) in human rights, international development, law, sustainability, political science, natural resource governance, or a related field. 15+ years of experience in human rights within extractive industries and/or upstream materials supply chains.

Deep knowledge of OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Mineral Supply Chains, UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, and ILO core conventions.

Proven expertise in CSDDD, the EU CRM Act, and the EU Forced Labour Regulation; direct experience with Lk SG, the French Duty of Vigilance, or equivalent frameworks.

Demonstrated understanding of Just Transition principles, including community transition planning, economic diversification in resource‑dependent regions, and climate‑linked supply chain risks.

Willingness to travel 10‑15% domestically and internationally, including to producing regions.

Preferred Qualifications Experience running complex, multi‑stakeholder initiatives with civil society, multilateral institutions, and private sector actors.

Excellent written and verbal English; additional European languages are an asset.

Strategic thinker who translates complex regulatory and human rights issues into clear, actionable policy positions.

Exceptional writing and editing skills, with ability to synthesize complex topics quickly under time pressure.

Strong stakeholder management across NGOs, civil society, governments, and standard‑setting bodies.

Effective working both independently and collaboratively in cross‑functional, international environments.

Highly organized, self‑directed, and detail‑oriented.

Genuine passion for social, environmental, and human rights responsibility.
