This role is part of the EMEIA Logistics GSSM team reporting into the EMEIA GSSM Logistics Manager. This is a fast paced, dynamic environment where flexibility, adaptability, excellent communications, finance acumen/auditing skills and a willingness to travel are key attributes needed for success!
As a WW Logistics GSM, you will be responsible for the commercial and spend management of Apple’s EMEIA Distribution Centre Supplier sites for both forward and reverse logistics services. The role works cross functionally with Apple Logistics operations to drive cost effective processes against contractual commitments and pricing terms. The role has responsibility for maintaining business relationships with the Suppliers and Apple regional business leaders and aligning corporate procurement strategies with regional logistics business objectives.
DescriptionResponsible for the qualification, selection and contracting of DC Services that support EMEIA operations.
- Negotiating supplier contracts and pricing templates.
- Review all business documents being sent to suppliers in RFP’s, RFI’s, Statement of work (SOW), Master Agreements (MSAs) and formal communications.
- Ensure all contracts and pricing are agreed before awarding and onboarding of the business.
- Point of escalation when there are impacts to commercial and contractual agreements with the suppliers.
- All pricing is maintained in DC Audit tool with appropriate effective dates.
- All rates to be negotiated prior to expiry of existing rates, thereby ensuring continuity of service and pricing.
- Maintain suppliers in Supplier Ninja for all EMEIA DC’s.
- Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews with DC suppliers and ensuring all actions from the QBR’s have DRIs and timelines for completion.
- Drive continual cost reduction and cost avoidance initiatives with suppliers projects as required from within the global team.
- Contract management experience to draft, review and assess terms and conditions and hold parties accountable.
- The candidate will need to have previous vendor management and commercial negotiation experience.
- Advanced Excel, Numbers and Keynote skillset.
- Clear communication style to work with Suppliers, internal customers/partners and executive management to drive logistics strategies.
- Experience in DC procurement, master’s degree or MBA a plus.
- Demonstrated track record of working cross functionally in a fast paced environment with competing priorities.
- Extensive contract negotiation experience.
