They are currently seeking an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their Eastern regional team on a flagship c£20m New Build Education project. Working alongside an experienced Senior QS, this role offers hands-on experience on a major site and a clear trajectory for career progression.
Duties & Responsibilities: Working as part of an established on-site commercial team, you will support and take ownership of key daily functions, including:
- Assisting with sub-contractor enquiries, package procurement, and tender analysis.
- Conducting on-site measurement, site visits, and valuations of ongoing work.
- Helping manage package variations, cost reporting, and financial tracking throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assisting with the agreement of final accounts and sub-contract payments.
Desirable Experience & Qualifications:
- Experience: 1+ years of commercial experience within a Main Contractor environment would be advantageous, however candidates completing their Education or part-way through an Apprenticeship would be considered.
- Education: Degree/HND in Quantity Surveying or a related construction management qualification (or working towards one). Candidates part-way through their degree qualification will also be considered.
- Skills: Good numerical abilities, excellent communication skills, and a proactive, collaborative attitude.
- Background: Currently working as a Trainee QS, Assistant QS, Apprentice QS or a Graduate QS looking to take the next step on a major regional project.
