A regional Main Contractor with a busy pipeline of work across Norfolk is looking to grow their talented team with a new Senior Estimator. The business is a long standing main contractor with a proven track record in the local area. The business works across a variety of sectors including Mixed-Use, Residential, Commercial and Healthcare sectors. The successful candidate will be joining the business to work on tenders and bids from c£1m-£10m in value.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing the cost plans and pricing of single and 2-stage tenders in the main under JCT D&B forms of contract and typically £1m-£10m in value.
- Attend pre-tender, site and post-tender meetings, producing BOQs, take offs, full cost plans and target cost reporting.
- Identify appropriate and qualified subcontractors for each tender, negotiating on price and maintaining strong contractual relationships.
Desirable Experience
- 10 years+ experience in a pure estimating role with a main contractor.
- Sector experience must include New Build and/or Refurbishment projects.
- Experience with Causeway or Conquest estimating software would be advantageous.
- Previous Roles: Estimator OR Senior Estimator OR Principal Estimator OR Intermediate Estimator.
Qualifications & Skills
- Degree or HND/HNC in a Construction related subject.
