A privately owned main contractor operating in the Residential, Commercial, Mixed-Use and Regeneration sectors, are currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join a flagship Residential and Mixed-Use, Design & Build, New Build project in excess of c£40m+.
Duties & Responsibilities
The successful candidate will work within a team to manage daily commercial management functions across the project, including but not limited to; measurement & valuations, applications for payment, reconciling accounts, dealing with sub-contract orders and enquiries, through to practical completion of the project and settling final accounts.
Previous experience on projects £10m+ is essential.
Desirable Experience
- Minimum 5 years+ experience as a QS on Construction projects in excess of £10m.
- Good knowledge of JCT Design & Build Contracts.
- Experience working for a Main Contractor would be advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Previous Roles: Senior Quantity Surveyor OR Project QS OR Quantity Surveyor.
Qualifications & Skills
Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management or comparable.
