An award winning and innovative Main Contractor operating across Essex are looking for an experienced BIM Coordinator to join their successful BIM team currently with 9 members. The business has invested heavily in their Digital Construction capability and this vacancy plays a key part in providing support on both current projects and tender opportunities. With an established regional office, busy pipeline of exciting and interesting projects in 2026/27, the business is continually innovating and growing. Their culture is progressive and ambitious with a focus on staff development and work enjoyment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Working with the information team to set up the Common Data Environment (CDE) in line with ISO 19650 standards.
- Providing data for monthly reports to track and measure how digital tools are being used across different projects.
- Helping to write the BIM Execution Plan and other key digital documents required for project delivery.
- Collecting and reviewing digital skill assessments from the supply chain to ensure they can meet project requirements.
- Leading the shift toward a "digital first" culture by promoting new technology and workflows across all project departments.
- Knowledgeable in ISO 19650 standards and able to explain how openBIM tools like IFC and COBie help different systems work together.
Desirable Experience:
- Previously worked as a BIM Coordinator or Digital Construction Coordinator or Digital Information Manager or Digital Construction Manager or BIM manager.
- Passion for BIM processes and technologies.
- Excellent communication skills.
Qualifications & Skills:
- HNC or BSc or MSc in construction/structural/architectural related subject and BIM Software Certification or comparable qualifications.
