Company & Project: A regional Main Contractor with a busy pipeline of work across Norfolk are looking to grow their talented team with a new Senior Estimator. The business is a long standing main contractor with a proven track record in the local area.

The business works across a variety of sectors including Mixed-Use, Residential, Commercial and Healthcare sectors.

The successful candidate will be joining the business to work on tenders and bids from c£1m‑£10m in value.

Duties & Responsibilities

The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing the cost plans and pricing of single and 2‑stage tenders in the main under JCT D&B forms of contract and typically £1m‑£10m in value. There are a large number of tenders from a pre‑existing frameworks in addition to selective tender.

You will attend pre‑tender, site and post‑tender meetings, producing BOQ\’s, take‑offs, full cost plans and target cost reporting. Identify appropriate and qualified subcontractors for each tender, negotiating on price and maintaining strong contractual relationships.

Desirable Experience

  • 10 years+ experience in a pure estimating role with a main contractor.
  • Sector experience must include New Build and/or Refurbishment projects.
  • Experience with Causeway or Conquest estimating software would be advantageous.
  • Previous Roles: Estimator OR Senior Estimator OR Principal Estimator OR Intermediate Estimator.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Degree or HND/HNC in a Construction related subject.
