An award winning Main Contractor with a busy project pipeline and long standing commercial team have a unique opportunity for a Commercial lead to join their business working across Essex. The company are looking for a candidate that has experience managing others and is looking to make a decisive step in their career. They are looking for talented Managing Quantity Surveyors who would like clear career progression to Commercial Manager level and are excellent communicators. There is a pathway for career development and this position holds a key place in the senior leadership team within the business.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing a team of Quantity Surveyors with the overall responsibility for the commercial function across multiple projects.
- You will also be expected to report at a senior level to directors and help build the team and overall growth of the region.
Desirable Experience:
- Minimum 10 years experience as a Senior or Managing QS on projects c£20m+.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience working on 2-stage projects would be advantageous.
- Previous Roles: Senior Quantity Surveyor OR Managing QS OR Commercial Manager OR Lead Quantity Surveyor OR Principal Quantity Surveyor.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management or comparable qualification.
