Company & Project: Apple Technical Recruitment are working alongside an award-winning Main Contractor operating in the Mixed-Use, Education, Healthcare, Leisure and Commercial sectors, seeking to recruit an experienced and effective Quantity Surveyor to complement their Commercial Management team, based in East Anglia and working on local Suffolk and Norfolk projects. The successful candidate will be working alongside an experienced Managing QS on a larger project in the region, with a pathway and development opportunities to leading their own projects c£20m+ in the future. Our client has an exceptionally strong order book, is a highly profitable business and boasts an exciting pipeline of projects across the region.
Duties & Responsibilities: The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing daily commercial management functions, including but not limited to:
- Measurement & valuations.
- Applications for payment.
- Reconciling accounts.
- Dealing with sub-contract enquiries, through to practical completion of the project and settling final accounts.
Good communication skills, contract administration and negotiation is desirable for this role. Previous experience working for a Main Contractor is essential for this position.
Desirable Experience:
- Minimum 5 years+ experience as a QS on Construction projects.
- Good negotiation skills and previous experience measurement.
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management or comparable.
