Company & Project: Apple Technical Recruitment are working exclusively with an established Main Contractoroperating in theCommercial, Mixed-Use and Educationsectors across Norfolkand Camrbidgeshirewho currently growing their Design teamwith a new Design Manager to work on projects up to c£15m in single value.
The business has demonstrated sustained and strategic growth over the past 10 years, positioning itself as an employer of choice with a rewarding culture and a strong track record of investing in employees personal and professional development.
The business holds places on a number of regional frameworks with a secured and growing pipeline of work for 2026 and beyond including c£10m projects nearThetford, Mildenhall and Cambridge.
Duties & Responsibilities: The successful candidate will take responsibility for technical compliance and design management atprocurement stages, andmonitoring the on-site Design coordination.
A process driven individual, with practical construction knowledge, and a keen eye for detail is an essential skillset for this role.
Desirable Experience:
- Experience as a Design Manager from early planningstages through to project completion.
- Minimum of 10years experience working for aMain Contractor.
- Knowledge of Construction methodology, Design & Build contracts,Planning legislation andBuilding Regulations.
- Previous Roles: Technical Manager OR Assistant Design Manager ORDesign Manager OR Design Co-ordinator OR Assistant Design &Build Manager.
Qualifications & Skills: HNC orDegree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture.
