A permanent position for a Senior Project Manager near Potters Bar, Hertfordshire with a salary of approximately £95k-£105k (DOE) and a competitive benefits package including car or car allowance, healthcare, pension, and performance bonus.
An award-winning Tier 1 Main Contractor is looking to grow their Operations team by adding a talented and experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a £45m Design and Build project in Hertfordshire. The company has a busy project pipeline and a healthy order book for 2026/27.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all project management functions, from planning, design, and financial management to practical construction delivery. Previous experience in managing projects over £30m as Number 1 Project Manager for a Top 100 Main Contractor is essential, along with strong knowledge of pre-construction project management, contract management, health and safety, and exceptional client-facing skills.
Desirable experience includes:
- Previously held Number 1 Project Manager roles with recognised Top 100 Main Contractors.
- Experience in delivering construction projects over £30m in sectors such as Commercial, MOD/Defence, Education, Science, or Mixed-Use.
- Background in Site Management or Engineering, including a valid CSCS Card and ideally NVQ Level 6, BSc or MCIOB.
- Exceptional client-facing and people management skills, with experience in leading teams of around 20 staff.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Degree in Construction Management or comparable qualification (NVQ/HNC etc.).
- MCIOB status would be advantageous.
- Experience with ASTA PowerProject software and awareness of Viewpoint software would be beneficial.
