A regional Main Contractor with a busy pipeline of work across Norfolk is looking to grow their talented team with a new Senior Estimator. The business has a proven track record in the local area and works across a variety of sectors including Mixed-Use, Residential, Commercial, and Healthcare.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the cost plans and pricing of single and 2-stage tenders under JCT D&B forms of contract, typically valued between £1m-£10m. Responsibilities include:
- Attending pre-tender, site, and post-tender meetings.
- Producing BOQs, take-offs, full cost plans, and target cost reporting.
- Identifying appropriate and qualified subcontractors for each tender, negotiating on price, and maintaining strong contractual relationships.
Desirable Experience:
- 10 years experience in a pure estimating role with a main contractor.
- Sector experience must include New Build and/or Refurbishment projects.
- Experience with Causeway or Conquest estimating software would be advantageous.
- Previous roles: Estimator, Senior Estimator, Principal Estimator, or Intermediate Estimator.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Degree or HND/HNC in a Construction related subject.
