Company & Project: Apple Technical Recruitment are working exclusively with a privately owned Main Contractor with a busy pipeline of work across Suffolk. They are looking to grow their Commercial team due to new projects secured in Bury St Edmunds, Mildenhall and Ipswich. The business works across the Mixed-Use, Commercial, Education and Healthcare sectors on projects valued c£5m-£15m. The successful candidate will be joining the business to work on a project c£10m Commercial project based near Bury St Edmunds. With a clear structure and programme in place for their employees' personal development, this role is a very good opportunity for a surveyor to lead their own projects in a collaborative team environment.
Duties & Responsibilities: The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing daily commercial management functions, including but not limited to; measurement & valuations, applications for payment, reconciling accounts, dealing with sub-contract orders and enquiries, through to practical completion of the project and settling final accounts.
Desirable Experience: Minimum 5 years experience as a QS working for a Main Contractor or large developer/house builder. Good communication skills. Use of JCT or NEC Contracts is essential.
Qualifications & Skills: Degree in Quantity Surveying or comparable qualification.
